Another rough night

Hello everyone, this is Sarah doing the post this morning.  Karen just called to let me know that Chris had another rought night.  He had the cold sweats all night, felt very nauseous, and vomited.  Vomiting can be a symptom of a leak at the surgical site where the two pieces of colon were put back together.  We’re really hoping it’s not a leak.  Dr. Belzer should be in to see Chris this morning to go over the results of the CT scan from yesterday…hopefully he’ll be able to tell what’s going on.

Chris really needs his rest today and he said that he’s not feeling up to phone calls and visitors today.

I’ll post an update again today if/when I learn more.

Sarah

If only easing the pain was as easy as pushing a button at your bedside, eh? You knew going in that it was not going to be easy and its good to see you’re keeping your fighting spirit. Sorry to have missed the nocturnal sprints through the hospital corridors, especially because it sounds as if your caretakers will be curtailing racing excursions for a while. To rest easier, my advice is to keep your viewing of Vikings games to a minimum. Clinically speaking, they are known to cause nausea. See you soon.

Hi Chris. We ‘ve been trying to get on your site. Must have been using the wrong address. But finally got the right one. Sounds like you have had a pretty tough time of it. But so glad to hear that you may be going home soon.
